The day-to-day operations of EPIC are in the capable and experienced hands of EPIC Insurance Managers LLC (EPIC IM), its attorney-in-fact (AIF). EPIC IM performs all operating functions of the company. Developing and managing professional liability insurance companies is a demanding and complex undertaking. The senior management team has an unblemished track record of developing doctor-owned professional liability insurance companies. Over the past 30 years, they have successfully developed 15 such companies.

Among the companies formed, developed and/or managed by the EPIC Insurance Managers senior team are:

• NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company (NORCAL), a mutual insurance company
• Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company (OMIC), a mutual risk retention group
• OMS National (formerly AAOMS National) Insurance Company, a stock risk retention group
• Connecticut Medical Insurance Company (CMIC), a mutual insurer
• The Dentists Insurance Company (TDIC), a stock insurer owned by the CA Dental Assn
• MedAmerica Mutual

The AIF reports to the EPIC Board of Governors for the performance of its duties and obligations that are detailed in a long-term management contract.

	Graham Billingham, MD, FACEP President & CEO of EPIC Insurance Managers Graham Billingham has over 20 years of experience as a practicing emergency physician. He speaks nationally on emergency medicine and has lectured in more than 200 CME courses on risk management, operations, documentation, patient safety, information technology, coding and billing, and malpractice prevention. He is the formation Chairman of the Emergency Medicine Patient Safety Foundation. Graham currently sits on the physician advisory board of the Emergency Department Practice Management Association (EDPMA) and several technology companies. He is Executive Vice President and CMO for NCG Enterprises LLC and has served on the American College of Emergency Physicians Coding and Nomenclature Committee. He founded and served as medical director for The Center for Emergency Medical Education and was a cofounder of the National Emergency Medicine Board Review Course.
	Bartholomew G. Nyhan, MBA, CLU Chairman of EPIC Insurance Managers, Board Member EPIC In a career that has spanned more than 30 years in the insurance industry, Mr. Nyhan has personally led the formation and development of 10 physician-owned professional liability insurers, beginning in 1975 with NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. Nyhan also has many years of experience in other aspects of the insurance industry including insurance brokerage/consulting, third party administration, alternative risk financing, and employee benefits. Throughout his career, Mr. Nyhan has focused on creating innovative and timely solutions for his healthcare industry clients, with his particular expertise in liability issues faced by physicians. Mr. Nyhan held senior management positions in several major insurance enterprises, including his own insurance brokerage, Glenn, Nyhan & Associates, and Johnson & Higgins. Mr. Nyhan has an extraordinary record of accomplishments in the medical professional liability insurance industry. He is a passionate advocate for developing patient safety initiatives in the healthcare industry.
	Douglas D. Wisman, MBA, CPA, CPCU Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer Douglas D. Wisman is Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of EPIC Insurance Managers. Mr. Wisman has more than 20 years of experience as a financial executive in the insurance industry, specializing in professional liability and related healthcare industries. Before joining EPIC IM, Mr. Wisman held senior executive positions with Reliance Insurance Companies, Washington Casualty Company, and Cascade National Insurance Company. He also performed insurance consulting services for Safeco Insurance Company, Symetra Financial, and the Montana State Fund. Mr. Wisman earned his MBA in Finance and is a certified public accountant as well as a certified property casualty underwriter.
